Herne Bay Pier is delighted to announce Summer Sounds on the Pier!!  We have an amazing lineup of local artists showcasing some of the best musicians, artists and bands that Kent has to offer! Tickets are on sale now starting with the season’s opener on 19th June and running through until the End of Season event on 3rd September. Book your guaranteed socially distanced ticket now to avoid disappointment as due to reduced capacity tickets are limited to the first 200 so are likely to sell fast.  Booking fees apply.

A DJ for nearly 30 years, Mickey Jay graduated steadily through the ranks. Initially, on the Kent circuit, he progressed to play such venues as Pacha and Ministry of Sound in London, as well as regular guest spots at Sunnyside Up at SW1 & various venues across the country.

In 2001 he began a 5-year residency in Ibiza at Manumission’s infamous Bar M. DJing daily throughout the season he played various slots, days, sunsets & nights including pre-parties for Judgement Sunday (Judge Jules) Euphoria (Dave Pearce) Cream & Manumissions own pre-party, where he would quite often finishing at the bar then going on to play the club later (in the ladies’ toilets of all places!). During his time in Ibiza, he also played Eden, Es Paradis El Devinos, Amnesia and Space.

He continues to make guest appearances across the UK and Europe, currently runs his own label, Subsume Records, releases tracks under Charlie’s Uncle, Soul Nomad, The Emotion Picture Society and Fear and Loathing, with tracks & remixes on Ulybug & Nu Monkey Records as well as his own. He also presents a weekly Saturday night radio show on Deal Radio called ‘Not Going Out’ where he continues to promote new House music across the globe
