We are so proud to have been awarded 2nd Best Pier in the UK by the National Piers Society. We were third last year so we need to see if we can make it to 1st place next year – the only way is UP! We were pipped to the post by Great Yarmouth’s Britannia Pier, which has just undergone a £1.8m refurbishment! Thank you to everyone who supports us. We are thrilled to announce that Herne Bay Pier has been officially shortlisted for the Seaside Heritage Network’s 2026 Bucket and Spade List!
We want to claim the number one spot and celebrate the very best of the British seaside, but we cannot do it without you. Voting is open now until the end of August. It takes less than five minutes to back your local pier and help us bring this prestigious award home to Herne Bay.
